Memory Lane: 2011 Fashion and Fun
Wow, time flies when you are having fun. This was my last day off for the holidays so before I head back to work and begin the new year, here is a little walk through memory lane in 2011...
In August we said hello to the fashion blogging world, I survived my first earthquake and starting pulling off the years great fashion trends like the white power suit, rockin mens wear inspired fabrics, mixing patterns with brights and taking a note from Oscar de la Renta with neutrals and red.
In September we discussed "Career Smart Must Haves" and deliberated on what to wear to a simulcast. We also boldly paired brights with neutrals, worked a red dress, sported a shirt dress and tried the new fall color combo of rust and cobalt blue.
In October we got thrifty in New York, went Ape and became a proud member of the Color Brigade. We also stoped playing it safe with pattens and roared in to the 20's.
In November I fell in love with vintage clothing, tried my hand at color blocking, held my first Style Quota Challenge and brought in Thanksgiving like a pilgrim.
In December we wrapped ourselves up for the cold and the parties, pulled out our leather jackets, scarves and our tights. I started corresponding with Lyddiegal (below) from Chic on the Cheap, one of my all time favorite bloggers and she is awesome! Check out her site if you haven't already.
We celebrated my sons 7th birthday and a wonderful first year of blogging for Suite Life at the Gaylord Hotel.
It has been great sharing my fashion adventures with you and I look forward to brazenly charging forward into the new year. I cant wait to see all the fashion world has in store for us! Tata for now and have a suite week.
Relaxed Vacation Wear

What a great day this was. The Gaylord hotel is my favorite hotel of all time so I love that we had another opportunity to stay there. We just lounged around the room almost the whole time which was awesome. I thought I would post some pics of my vacation wear, I am wearing the great scarf my grandmother got me for Christmas. Our room was on the 19th floor facing the atrium, so we had beautiful twinkle lights outside our window at night and a great view of the sunset. My gift for my husband was a personalized massage at the Hotel Spa, which he totally deserved for taking my pictures this year, supporting my late night post and listening to my endless blogging conversations. I just chilled at the jacuzzi, worked out and walked 4 miles at the gym, go me! So sad to have had to go home but what a way to end the year!

New Friends

Sorry that I have been away for the holidays but they have been jammed packed. I have missed you all and I thought I would share my running around town and meeting new friends outfit? This was the comfortable outfit I wore when meeting a few new friends at the Kennedy Homeless Shelter. I love this scarf from Forever 21 and bag from United Colors of Benetton. We spent a few hours listening to a sermon, singing Christmas carols and eating cookies together. It was a nice evening, we got to meet a bunch of great people and I got to try out my side ponytail.

Even though it was cold outside, it was warmer than yesterday so I threw on this happy outfit and since these Forever 21 boots were made for walking, that is what did! I walked them right into a little last minute shopping downtown. Feel free to mix and match your suit tops with a thrifted piece like my Christmas tree green wool pencil skirt or some jeans for your last minute shopping trips.
