Smells like Christmas

It started to smell a lot like Christmas today! This is me standing at my local Christmas lot wearing a printed dress that I picked up from Ross for $16.99 with my turquoise scarf. We just picked out our first real Christmas tree since I was a child. Normally I like the artificial trees a bit more but since this year we decorated and donated one of our extra trees to the Church for the holiday season, we went down to the lot and selected a real one. It was so fun running around the tree lot trying to find the right one, for the right price. When we finally found it we took a deep breath and made a sigh of relief. The brisk air smelt of pine and it was lovely.

Happy Pilgrim, Happy Thanksgiving

It is Thanksgiving and you are probably recovering from a food coma.  If you have room for one more holiday dish, let’s talk about all we are thankful for: I am thankful for my fabulous family and friends, I am thankful for new holiday traditions like blogging and playing in the turkey bowl, I am thankful for this incredible opportunity to try hot fashion trends like: Pilgrim Dressing and share them,  I am thankful for other like-minded bloggers who always provide great inspiration and I am thankful you, my viewers. You could be doing many other things with your time but you spend a little time each week on a style journey with me. Thanks a bunch!

Satin and Lace throw back

We were bringing back the 20's this Halloween. We had a full house of G rated flappers and gangsters. I love the timeless style of the 20's. I got my creme satin and white lace throw back dress from Banana Republic's heritage collection in their spring sale for $49. My mom's little red number, my daughters Brandy's purplish blue number and my nieces color blocked blue number all came from Ross for under $20.
