I found this over sized Evan Picone blazer at Auntie Ts, a local consignment shop for $12. The detail and piping on the blazer made me think of that fierce over sized blazer outfit in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada".  I knew then I had to take it home. So here is my Trend Translation, what do you think?

Navy Blues

I have the blues today but I am not sad. I have the navy blues. Wearing all black is a thing of this past. I got this navy ruffled blazer and textured navy skirt for Christmas from the Ann Taylor Outlet during a 50% off sale. Go me!

Blue Holiday Nails

Country Blues

It was a bit chilly the other day and I had a case of the country blues.  So I put together this counry outfit with a jacket that I love from T.J.Max, it is brown corduroy with a bit of lace. Lace is really in this season and I thought this lace detail on this $5 shirt from Target added a little something extra as well.  As it went my boys were feeling the blues too. This is my husband of 13 years, Lorenzo and Jalen my 6 year old son. He is the youngest of the 4 kids.  They were right in line with Men's fall fashion trends mixing their blue plaid and brown corduroy blazers. I love it when we all match.

Even though they’ve been around for a few years, I still like a good flyaway cardigan — and this ribbed acrylic one from New York & Company.  It’s available in black, blue, and white for $29.97 (was $49.95). Ribbed Flyaway Cardigan. I grabed up a brown sleeveless one at Ross for  $29.97.

Does the weather still having you feeling grey like me? Pull out the bright peices. Don't be shy-you can handle the attention. The spotlight will be on the hue, so pair a bright color with a toned down neutral suit. Keep the lines crisp and simple and let the color do all the work.

Motivated by J.Crew, lately I have been mixing and matching traditional fall fabrics like these trousers with bright bold colors. Rust and Cobalt Blue, who knew?  By grounding the brazen color with a traditional, tailored piece like these pants by Sandro that I picked up for $15 at TJ Maxx, my outfit felt fun and not over the top. I felt funky and professional at the same time, I love that the two can coexist in one outfit.
