Prints Gone Wild

I love how this season prints have gone wild!  The color combinations of brown and black animal prints have been brought to life with vibrant pops of color.  Take some of your brown or black foundational basics and add a few bright pieces like this transparent boho chic top that I picked up for TJ Maxx for $16 and $6 cobalt belt from H&M.  How have you gone wild with prints this year?

 

 

I Love Olive

I love olive and I am so glad that it is still in for the spring. I just paired this Forever 21 scarf and boots with my olive miltary dress and just went outside and enjoyed the nice weather.

I found this over sized Evan Picone blazer at Auntie Ts, a local consignment shop for $12. The detail and piping on the blazer made me think of that fierce over sized blazer outfit in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada".  I knew then I had to take it home. Country Blues

It was a bit chilly the other day and I had a case of the country blues.  So I put together this counry outfit with a jacket that I love from T.J.Max, it is brown corduroy with a bit of lace. Lace is really in this season and I thought this lace detail on this $5 shirt from Target added a little something extra as well.  As it went my boys were feeling the blues too. This is my husband of 13 years, Lorenzo and Jalen my 6 year old son. He is the youngest of the 4 kids.  They were right in line with Men's fall fashion trends mixing their blue plaid and brown corduroy blazers. I love it when we all match.

Tweed Chic

 Oversized blazers are back ladies. They are roomy, functional, non-restricting and did I say fabulous? Today I needed an outfit to play double duty. I am heading a community event out my church so I needed to look professional enough to lead a meeting but I also needed my outfit to be casual enough to run to my son soccer game, which was scheduled right after my meeting. These little wedges made running from the meeting room to the goal line seemless. My scarf played double duty as well, it was warm and added a pop of color to my outfit.

Football Madness

Looking to rep your team but can't make it to the football game, then throw a tailgate party at work. Check out my team spirit for my Cowboys at the Redskins vs. Cowboys Showdown. We are raising money for charity by showing support for our favorite team. So the next time that you are get the football bug during a work week, throw on your favorite team tee with a blazer or relaxed suit and spread the cheer.

Here is my friend Kelly sporting a cute tuxedo jacket that she picked up from Charlotte Russe. Tuxedo jackets are so good at hiding your trouble spots that I had to ask her to point out her baby bump. How cute is she!!
