Printastic

Feeling Printastic, then, take notes from the spread in Harper's Bazaar Russia. It’s all about mix-n-match-n print. From graphic geometrics to skirt patterns, You can see where why I couldn’t wait to wear my print dress. I can’t wait to see how you indulge in this floral trend. Work these dynamic prints with attitude, your way. This last look is calling my name, its Dolce & Gabbana's red onion & market flower dress paired with an oversized cardigan looks incredibly enticing.

Chilly Throwback

Since the weather here cant make up it's mind, I though it was time to break out my throwback winter hat that I picked at TJ Maxx. I paired my white suit, the one you have seen me wear before and added this removable fur collar that I borrowed from my fur collared jacket from Kmart. That's right Kmart, LOL! They had a 50% off already marked 50% off sale and I had to join in on the fun.  I loved the look, I felt pulled together and chic. What peices help you pull together your look?

Spring Print Chic

As one of my fellow blogger friends put it, I am ready for spring but it is not ready for me. I picked up this vintage inspired floral print dress at TJ Maxx to wear to a spring wedding but just couldn't wait so I paired it with a black long sleeve T, tights and some hot pink lip stick and off I went to church. To bad I could be out for too long with out a coat.

SL Essential: Skinny Jeans

One of the questions that I hear quite often is “where can I get an affordable pair of skinny jeans that fit”, so since a good pair of skinny jean is a Suite Life essential piece I thought that I would direct you to a few of my favorite places to shop for this sought after jean at an affordable price:

1.       Forever 21 and Forever 21 Plus $13-$30
2.       Old Navy $ 30- $35
3.       American Eagle Outfitters $30

I also like to find skinnies from Calvin Kline, Levis, Bongo and Seven at TX Maxx, Ross and Marshalls. The most comfortable jeans for me are from Dots.  I wear a size 13- 15 so I need to find pairs that fit my curves. If you are a plus size like me check out:

1.       Forever 21 Plus  $13-$30
2.       Torrid $59
3.       Avenue $12-40
4.       Dots  $17- $30

From Plain to Dang

One of our Suite Life followers asked me how to take their plain grey wardrobe up a notch. So I took a plain grey dress from H&M and added a scarf, belt and cuffs and Wala. From Plain To Dang! I can't wait to hear how you spice up your grey looks!

The Morning After

Valentine’s day has come and so how do you keep the love feast going? Here are a few ways:

1.       Bringing Sexy Back- Put on the outfit that makes you feel the most sexy and grab your camera or have a friend take some sexy by sophisticated photos of you. Then randomly send your man one of the photos to his mobile phone.  Your man should always have a picture of you at your best to remind him of what fabulousness awaits him at home
2.       Love Notes- Pull out the lipstick and some Post-It Notes. Write a few sweet nothings on each Post-It and seal it with a kiss. Then hide these love notes in his random places (like his briefcase, rear view mirror or tooth brush) so he will find them throughout the week.
3.       The Morning After- Usually this attire comes in handy when you have pulled and all-nighter and you don’t want to wear the same outfit but now the same rules apply, get one of his button up shirts and wear it to work or to run errands. It’s like having him with you all day.

SL: Nude Mood

This is my first pair of neutral skinnies and I am super excited. I love skinnies and I love that they are in a multitude of colors now. I went for the neutral tone because I think I can rock them more often. You too should look into finding a color that works for you.

What 2 Wear: to a Basketball Game

Attention all sports fans: If you you are ever trying to look cool  while losing you cool at a sporting event this one is for you. A few weekends ago we attended the George Mason University basket ball game at the Patriot Center and it was a scream. Great music, tons of school pride and lovely concession stand food!! How can you go wrong? Well by possibly wearing the wrong outfit, so when you are attending a game, remember this:

  • Keep it Relaxed- you will be jumping up and down and having to walk up a ton of stairs. So wear comfortable pants, shoes and nonrestrictive clothing. You can look cute without looking like you are going dancing.
  • Have Team Spirit- Show your team spirit like me and Maria Menounos buy sporting team memorabilia or a jersey of your favorite player. You don’t have to be wearing a jersey to show that you are supporting the team, just throw on a color coordinated top and a fun stack of bangles or with scarf like Hillary Duff .
  • Dress in Layers- Space is limited so you may be wearing your coat the whole game, so make sure it is comfortable. If you don’t want to rock the jacket look the whole time, make sure you wear a light jacket like J-Lo, then it won’t take up a lot of room when you take it off or be like BeyoncĂ© and wear a blousey top, a pair of skinnies, a light jacket and a great pair of earrings. Play with accessories they can make an outfit go from blah to Hoooooray!!

You can also do what my friend Ashley did and wear a lovely cropped mustard sweater and layered tees. She was warm and looked super cute! Whatever you do be comfortable and ready to have a good time!
