Trend of the Day: Cashmere + Shirt Dress

Trend of the Day:
Cashmere + Shirt Dress

The weather is all over the place here in DC. It is either rainy, cool and breezy or bitter cold. So how do you dress for the weather that is constantly changing? Today's goal was to play with layers. I mixed and matched this warm, neutral cashmere sweater I picked up at a local thrift store for just $7 with and warm weather shirt dress also purchased from the thrift store. The wet and cooler temperature allows me the latitude to play with great accessories like this TJ Maxx scarf and the fedora that I picked up on sale from American Eagle for just $6.

Boots- Nine West- $30 (similar) (similar)
Belt- Thifted-$4 (similar) (similar)
Scarf- TJ Maxx - $12 (similar) (similar)

Dress- Thrifted- $15 (similar) (similar)
Hat- AE-$6 (similar) (similar)

Suite Style Quota #1

I am happy to announce the Winner of our first Suite Style Quota. The winner is .....Regina from Arlington, VA. She wore a plaid scarf, black tee, coordinating cardigan and a leather jacket to watch her nephew play soccer.  She has set the bar pretty high for soccer mom's everywhere. Her blue plaid scarf was a gift from Scotland and she paired it with a leather jacket to keep her nice and toasty during the game. Not only did she incorporate plaid into her layered outfit but she added another fall fashion trend, Leather.  She is my Style Guru for the week!! Thank you a bunch for participating and I look forward to seeing how working women everywhere continue to meet their Style Quotas.

Put a Little Prep in Your Step

Preppy is back in style so pull out your loafer ladies. I got these high heeled loafers at Charlotte Russe. Kakis always work well with a white shirt, so to pull this look together pull you hair back, add your favorite cardigan and a printed scarf. Refine it with some pearls and preppy glasses.
